Of course it will work. It's fabulous and very shabby chic.

I've done them both ways and I actually prefer D9P quilts to be on point. It's such a pretty setting!

I love the blocks and the setting. But I think that aqua dot is too 'heavy' for the rest of the quilt. I like the way it was illustrated in the EQ version - with a plain color as the setting squares. Maybe something lighter in value, so the center blocks don't get swallowed up. It will be a beautiful quilt - great job!

Very pretty blocks and I like the on point setting. It just gives a very different look to the blocks. I also like the polka dot fabric for a border. I enjoy using polka dots in quilts. They just impart a happy feeling and can unite a variety of elements. Go for it and have fun.

This is lovely. On point is a great idea. Some one will be happy to get this. So sweet!

Timing is everything! I started a D9P this past weekend and already began sewing the blocks together the traditional way. Wish I had waited until this coming weekend to start sewing the blocks so that I could have seen your idea of putting the blocks on point, because that's certainly a stand-out! Now I have to pretend I never saw your quilt or I'll never be happy with mine.
