I like it Mary - but I think it looks like a crown.

It's supposed to be a flower and I was working on something for the round robin I joined. I just don't feel like I could do that to the other girls. I will just add it to the stack of blocks that have been a nice try.

Thank you for all of your nice comments but I feel it is just too busy. I'll take the advice and make more but I'm not convinced at this point.

Mary, since the rest of us seem to like the block, you might as well make more and finish at least a wall hanging. Then, you will have agift made for someone else if you don't like the finished project. That is what I do if I don't feel like a project is not turning out as I expected. Someone always seems to love them, no matter how I feel about it. And it won't end up in my old ufo pile. :!: :!: :!:    Pam W.

well Mary, I agree! more like unappealing I guess, but if you change that purple piece for something cooridinated it would be nice.

I think it looks like a desert flower, different and pretty. I do like the scrappy look.

I think you should try to put four blocks together all together in the middle and see what you get I just drew two together and gave a neat look to the center just play with it a bit I don't think there is any such thing as a Ugly block or quilt it is in the eye of the person looking at it. I made a quilt a long time ago in a class and I use purples, peaches and off white for the colors and my husband though it was not nice at all, but guess what some one seen it and fell in love with it and paid me 250.00 for it. I liked the block myself.

I bought new fabric yesterday and plan to try again.
