I know alot of people are looking forward to seeing the quilts that I will be making from the Candlequilter Star Blocks that members have been making after receiving my pattern for the block. So far I have received less than 20% of the promised blocks for the pattern so until I receive enough of the blocks to complete a charity quilt I am at a stand still. I do hope that more blocks will be coming as was promised but time will tell.

Thank you for all the help to the ones that did make a block.

Thanks again,
Sherryl

as for my block... I have had one heck of time trying to get one made.. between my doctor apts and my brothers sickness and eventual passing, now I have my grandsons for 3 weeks. I will get you a star block as soon as I can find the time to get one made... sorry for the delay..

Candlequilter, I am sorry to say that after 5 attempts and even following your tute I still cannot complete a block with your pattern. I know that I promised a block in exchange for the pattern, so I will send you a block, done in a different patten and also return the pattern for the Star Block to you. I am sorry for any inconvience that this has caused you.

I know excuses are like elbows and that everyone has a couple.

Between a new GD with her Dad being in pre-deployment status (leaves USA in 15 +/- days), family from Wyoming coming in, family from Indiana coming in, Mom's 73rd birthday and general work I have actually been afraid to attempt it seeing all the difficulties some have had doing it.

I apologize for the delay. If you wish for me to delete it from my files please let me know and I will do so. I do plan on attempting it within the next couple months. If that is too long please let me know and all will be okay.

Again, I'm sorry for any problems my delay has unintentionally caused you.

Lisa

This is terrible... but I"m relieved to hear someone else had problems.. I have scrapped my block so many times!!! I can't get it to come out... I'm going to try and get some fusible and see if I can make one that way... I just can not get it to come out.. it is either off or will not lay flat... grrrrrrrrr
I'm still trying!@!!I LOVE this pattern.. I really want to learn it.. but It's gotten to the point DGH is threatening me with a bar of soap for my mouth!!! sigh...... don't give up on me!

The one I sent in was my second attempt. The first one took me almost a day and a half to do it wrong!!!! To do it right it took about 3 hours!!!
