I posted earlier about going last Friday to the estate auction of a quilter. You can read that story here:

Well...after spending 2 days going through JUST the fabric so far, I took pictures and posted about it on my blog. You can see pictures and read about it here:

Still have some boxes to go through, but the fabric is done. I paid around 50 cents/yard for the fabric...and it is quilt-store-quality fabric!

Wow Loretta, my jaw dropped when I saw the beautiful thread! You did fantastic. Now get busy making beautiful quilts that will become heirlooms.

Your comments at then end of your blog about shopping your stash for a good while so that when you pass away your family doesn't have to deal with it made me think. My husband has no idea about the value of my stash!! I can see him just going in there with a large Hefty bag, but gee, if I tell him now will he make me stop buying? lol.
Congrats on your haul, I'm sure that quilter is looking down happy her stash went to someone who will use it!
