I saw this tip on Fonn's and Porter's website :
Saving Selvages

Instead of wasting the selvage edges when I trim my fabric, I save them and make hot pads and rag rugs. I crochet a circle or an oval using a size J or K crochet hook and a single crochet stitch. It's easy, and the results are both pretty and useful.

Thanks for sharing that tip. I will try that I love to be able to use every scrap of my fabric since fabric is so expensive anymore.

I just signed up for Fonn's and Porter's website . Y'all need to visit their quilters tips ! There are some very good ones ! I have one of my own . For people who have small fingers and have a hard time getting a thimble to fit . Use some foam nose pads for eyeglasses . I do and it really works ! Thimble won't fall off either . Annie
