Can I zigzag using my walking foot? This is on a Bernette 90e, and the user manual doesn't discuss this. It seems to me that I tried this once on another machine and it really messed things up. Does anybody know about this?

As long as your stitch isn't to wide for the opening in the foot you shouldn't have any problem.
When using my walking foot for quilting, zig zagging and decorative stitching, I just elongate and slightly widen the stitches. :D:D:D

I zigzag on all three of my Janome machines using the walking foot, especially if joining batting.

Brother now has an open toe walking foot that you can use for decorative stitching.

I have a Brother SQ9000 and I'm using the walking foot for it right now with a small zigzag stitch and it is working fine. I also tried to FMQ with it and I will stick to the walking foot.

I've used a zig zag with my walking foot. What I'm wondering now (and need to read up on it to find out) is if I can zig zag on my new machine with the accufeed system feet.
