I have the chance to buy (privately) a used
Elna7100 for $600.00. It has not been used much since person bought a emb. /sewing machine. Person has had it cleaned and serviced by tech. with a great reputation. I am not familiar with this mach., but wondered if I can get any feedback on it. TIA.

Try this web: http://sewing.patternreview.com/

They have all kinds of sewing machine reviews. :)

So far as I know, this is basically the same machine as the Janome 1600P. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there on the Elna, but you might want to check out the reviews on patternreview.com for the 1600P.

I have a Elna for about 5 years, (it not an embroidery machine) but haven't had any problems with it.

I had an older Elna that did regular stitches and heirloom stitches. It was awesome. However, when it broke (rocker arm snapped) I was told that there are no replacement parts for my machine. It sits in a corner because I just have to believe that someone can repair my machine? Anyone know of a source in southeastern NC

Thanks for the suggestion...most helpful. Considering it because I have been happy with Janome..will keep looking and hopefully do a test drive by the weekend. Was going to go on Tues. but forecast is for snow, followed by freezing rain. Thanks again.
