I am having a terrible time using my EQ7! Before I used EQ's Quilt design wizard (it was usless). I thought maybe EQ7 would be more user friendly. I wanted to trace a design of my own and color it. I have tried "easy draw", but can't get the lines to go where I want them. They won't connect to the other lines that I want to use. The block will be pieced not applique.
Does anyone else have this trouble?

I can't help, but have you tried calling EQ Tech Support? I'm sure they can walk you through it.

I have EQ5 so I am not sure how much this helps you, but if you are having trouble with the "lines" in "easy draw" stay where you put them, you may need to adjust the number of your "snap points". You can try e-mailing the EQ support team (from their website) and they are always helpful in steering you in the right direction. Good luck!

I agree. I know there is a snap tool button, not sure if that is what you need to do. But Tech Support is great.

Check the Easy Draw section in the manual. I've found the instructions pretty easy to follow.

Go to the Lessons Section and print out Lesson 2 in the Block Lessons. This explains what you want.

EQ is a great tool but it takes some time to learn to use it. I'm still learning.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago, got it loaded on the computer, but it looks like it will be at least 2 weeks before I can sit down & play with it. I'm sure I will have to do the lessons because this is my first one. I am really wanting to play with it, but have to much to do to get ready for my daughter & her family coming.

Every question or how-to I have needed has been in the help file. The EQ forum is great for answering questions too. EQ7 is not much different then the very advanced software design programs used in graphic design firms. It's not a sit down instant point and click, it does have a learning curve.

just saw this at my LQS today and i was impressed. If it wasnt 150 dollars i may get it but i couldnt afford that.
