Am ready to fuse appliques to background fabric & would like to use my new pressing sheet. Wonder under instructions say to use a damp piece of fabric between fusible web & iron. If I do that I can't see the applique through the pressing sheet. Please help!

I'm not sure why you need to see the applique through the pressing sheet. I use a old thin dish towel to fuse my applique. I use Steam a Seam2. Once all the applique pieces are in place, just gently put the pressing cloth over everything & press.

If you have a presser Sheet then you wouldn't need the fabric and the iron. The sheet does the same thing but you can see through it. I never use anything between the presser sheet and the iron.

I'd say give the pressing sheet a try, if the appliques don't stick down well then you'll have to resort to the mfg. instructions. May do a sample one so you don't mess up your project??

I never use a damp pressing cloth with WonderUnder anymore. I did when I first started using it, but it became too much of a hassle. I just use parchment paper now and can't tell any difference at all.

Am doing Quilter's mag Stacked Pumpkins wall hanging, so pieces have to meet precisely. :|

Thanks for the advice. Have only done a few applique & wasn't sure if the Wonder-Under would stick without damp fabric - the way package instructions say to use it.

Pressing Sheet is Bear Thread Design's. Doesn't mention dampening applique/ WU in their instructions.
