I am hoping someone can help answer a question about using hairspray to spray baste a quilt. If good old Aquanet works, why wouldn't another hairspray do the same?. It is impossible to find Aquanet in this area and was thinking of trying another brand to baste my quilt, but thought I had better check here and see if you can share your opinions on this idea.

I would think that others would work, as long as they are as sticky as aqua net.

Interesting to say the least! Has anyone here on the board actually tried aqua net hair spray and found it works?

Go to my Topics Created. I asked that question some time back. Had a lot of feed back on Aqua net. I personally decided not to use it.

There is a whole thread here about this. Just go to the top and type Agua Net in search and it will come up

To me it sounded like hairspray was not a good idea.

Hair spray can discolor fabrics. I wouldn't use it.

I wouldn't use hairspray. When you think about what it leaves on your hair, I don't think I would want the residue on my quilt.
