A friend with an embroidery machine offered to make labels for my quilts. I'm happy with muslin which I will send her. Is there a special kind to get? Heavier rather than thinner? Shall I wash it first or will that make it harder for her? I plan on sending her a yard and having her work her way through that. At my current rate of production, it will last a long time :D
Thanks in advance for your advice!!

i would definitely get a good quality of muslin and do wash and iron it. It has been my experience that washing does not effect the top fabric as there is a stabilizer used under the top fabric.

I like muslin a bit heavier for labels and I always wash and press it first because of shrinkage and shape distortion. I would ask her though to see what she wants done with it.
