Has anyone used Sharon Scrambers applique stabilizer? I bought some and am waiting for it to come in the mail.....

I tried it, but don't like it as much as freezer paper. For me, the edges are too floppy. I get better edges with freezer paper and paste (which I like better than glue sticks). But YMMV.

I don't know what YMMV is either. Freezer paper is inexpensive and works well for me too.

I use Sharon Schamber's paper. It works for me. YMMV means 'your mileage may vary'

I was fortunate to study with Pat Campbell and learn applique. I use no papers, etc., just the needle-turn method she taught. (To me, using papers seemed like doing the work twice.) I have no trouble appliqueing tiny pieces, and my house has many examples of her marvelous system.

Sharon Schrambers stabilizer puffs out like trapunto when washed. I'm excited to see the results.

She may have changed that foundation since I purchased it a number of years ago. I'm a little skeptical of the trapunto claim. With mine, the fibers remain inside the applique but do not add any puffiness that is readily detectable by me; the effect is very subtle, and not what I would call trapunto. But, as I say, she may have changed her foundation since I bought mine.
