Sometimes dealers will let you upgrade to the newer model and use your present one as down payment. I know my Bernina dealer does that. Of course, once you take possession of your first one, they will probably depreciate it a lot.

This happened to me when I bought my Singer XL6000 embroidery machine. For Christmas one year they offered a CD with 4000 designs on it when you purchased the machine. Of course, I bought mine later & when I saw this CD I asked my retailer about it & he arranged to get one for me so I was very happy. Maybe your retailer will do the same (if she wants further sales from you) she just might.

Remember the squeaky wheel..... contact the company... if they say NO, tell them that answer doesn't work for you. It worked for me last year with an airlines that didn't want to pay to repair/replace damage they caused. I know it is a different scenerio but........

I think what I'm going to do is email viking and see what they can do. I understand that these things just happen sometimes, but I was just annoyed when I found out. I would have rather her told me she didn't know than to tell me she did and that they would never do any offers for this model. Oh well, maybe the email will help, maybe not. I'm just not in the mood to be confrontational about it just a little bummed. DH is the same way... says oh well it might take more time trying to prove my point than its worth sometimes.
