Default UUGGH! I'm sooo bummed!

I just went on the husqvarna site and see that if you buy a Sapphire 785Q you get a free quilter's set with it. I bought my machine in January and asked the lady if I should wait to buy it in hopes that there might be a special soon and she told me that they would only do a special for the lower model and not have any offers for the model that I wanted. If I had know that if a waited a measly 2 months I would have been able to get the quilter's table with my machine I would have waited! I'm so bummed now. Too bad I can't take it back and rebuy it lol. Has this ever happened to anyone here before. It just really stinks that she told me it would never happen and then it does so soon after I get it.

she may not have known about the upcoming special. don't be too hard on her. it is, indeed, a bummer to miss out on a special.

Check with her to see if she can cut you a deal since you missed the special. Can't hurt to ask.

I would also contact Viking, see what they say. Remind them that word of mouth from quilters will sell them more machines.

I understand that most of the major companies don't let the shops know of any specials that are coming their way. It could be that they have never done a special on that model before. I would definitely contact the shop owner and see if there is anything they can do for you. They may not be able to give you one but maybe they can make a reallllllly good deal on the table for you.

Call the big cheese and ask if you might get a table or at least a discount

I was really lucky. When I talked to a LQS about purchasing an mid-arm the dealer told me that the new models was coming out in a couple of months at the same price. Needless to say - I waited. And when I decided to purchase it was definitely from him.

I'd go back and ask them as well. If you get no satisfaction from the shop, check with Viking. I do know that when I bought my Viking I got a ton of extras and when my friend bought hers about 2 years later there were no offerings. Granted, most of my stuff was little - extra bobbins; needles, etc. - but I had coupons for all that kind of stuff for each month for a year. Not sure how much of an incentive Viking was giving the shop but it was definitely a Viking promo and not a store promo. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I hate when you buy your machine and 2 months later they come out with a newer improved model. I wish I would have known that when I bought mine
