http://lynbrown.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/NextGen-Quilt2.pdf I downloaded this pattern a while back as I love the D9P quilts and I started it this weekend. I changed the colours, as I am not fond of White tone on tone, and used 4 different yellow/amber fabrics and I am rather pleased with the result so far .........

This is the way they suggested, although they are not sewn as I have to adjust the blocks:

But then I changed them around and with my choice of fabrics I get a totally different pattern, which I think I prefer, what do you think Ladies?

The second picture, with blocks that appear smaller, looks more complicated and intriguing to me.

Sorry they are not smaller I had just made another couple when I took that pic

The blocks are all made the same way, which is a lot more complicated than the original D9P and I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like fussy cutting or bias seams  I just have more choices of layout because of the choice of my fabrics, I will decide on my choice when I have done a few more rows.

Thank you for your words of encouragement ladies, they are appreciated. :-D

I like both settings. It would be hard for me to choose one over the other.
