It's very cold here and I'm not venturing out. Besides, I really hate trying to shop when the stores are so crowded. It's just not my thing, but I have a friend who goes Christmas shopping in the middle of the night. To each his own. I might stop by JoAnn's this weekend, just haven't decided yet.

I love what you ladies are working on! I hit JoAnn yesterday, but I'll be spending the rest of the week quilting. I have a Christmas quilt (Cardinals) that I need to finish quilting so I can stitch the binding down Monday while DH is in surgery.

I am joining in too although I do need to get some cleaning and bookwork done in between. I just finished a binding on a charity baby quilt. Practice hasn't made perfect in my case but I am getting better with bindings and mitered corners. I hope to sandwich another baby quilt today but may do a pillowcase turn on the next one. My walking foot sure makes a difference with the finishing process though.

I am glad you found a great way to border this panel. I just used the companion fabric to border it in the shower curtain I made, and used no border on the matching curtain in my master bath shown below. The third and fourth pictures is what I did yesterday. I just put a binding on the tree skirt panel I bought a few years ago that I could not figure out how I wanted to quilt, so I just put a binding on, and might change later. I am open to suggestions for quilting it if anyone has any ideas....

I'm in! It's not Thanksgiving here, but apparently Black Friday has spread across the border. Not going anywhere near a store today. I have a quilt on my longarm that I want to finish quilting and get the binding on. Then there's Bonnie's mystery to start (need to dig that fabric out of the dryer and iron it I guess). And one other quilt on the list that I hope to at least cut out this weekend.
This is the quilt on the long arm today.

That is adorable! Love the kitties.
I'm hunkering down today......in my jammies, coming down with 'the croup' [upper respitory] but I think I might and try to make some potholders [trying not to expose my son that came to visit from CO for Thanksgiving or DH]

I finished another baby quilt. The tops of these quilts are sewn by someone else so I sandwich them and decide if they will be quilted or tied. I did a pillow turn on this one and then diagonally stitched through each of the square rows. Good thing there aren't any quilt police at my house because the minky backing on this one gave me fits! I will need to clean my machine again.

Finally finished my table topper, plus made two placemats for my kitchen, and a table runner for my cousin. This was a very productive virtual weekend. Even found time to go to Joanne's .
now to try my hand at machine embroidery number 9 for my husband's Red Sox shirt. Wish me luck!
