Looking for a pattern to make a waist bag (or waist pouch). The kind you use instead of carrying a purse. My family is going on vacation to Disney after Christmas and thought it would be neat to make these for them for Christmas.

They would be cute in Disney prints. I would make a couple of extras if you do this because I wouldn't be surprised if people ask you where you got them and you could sell them the extras!

Like a fanny pack? I have seen a lot of free patterns for these on the internet :D:D:D

Here is a video on how to make them out of used back packs :D

I have a pattern from "the green pepper". It's called "traveller's contour waist pack". I've never used it, but it's sitting here waiting for me to sew.

Also, I saw one on Etsy. if I can find the order (I haven't received it yet), I'll let you know. Please let us know if you find any. I've been looking for different ones for ages. Still haven't found exactly what I want

Found it: I ordered it on etsy.com. It's much simpler than the other pattern which has 3 zippers.
Ali Foster Patterns <[email protected] It's called the "belt pouch pattern" and she sends it via internet. It's a pdf file. Let us know how it goes, and have a great trip.

Do they still make fanny packs? I haven't seen them in years.
If you are going to Disney, you might just want to get a pattern for a money "belt" something that can be attached to you to hold just cash and cards. I don't know how old your kids are but you might also want to consider a stroller bag attachment for food and drinks and medical supplies. ie band aids sprays sunblock, aspirin and any other pill things that you might need in the park. even if your kids are too old for one you might want to get one of those umbrella ones to just "carry" all the stuff that you might accumulate or carry.
