I just found out that Wal Mart is going to put fabric departments back in some of their stores. This is due to numerous phone calls and emails. They are only going to put them in the stores where they are requested the most. So if you want Wal Mart fabric departments put back in your area stores, call 1-800-WalMart and tell them so!! They are being counted in by phone numbers instead of names so the more calls, the better.

I just got off the phone with customer service. She said that they are documenting calls about fabric and would forward my request. MAYBE...just MAYBE???? Fingers and everything else crossed. :)

Our Walmart was going to get rid of the Fabric Dept. but due to the demand, they are keeping it - yay!

Sadly my closest store is not one of the lucky stores. The fabric department is at 75% off right now. They have maybe a dozen partial bolts of fabric left on the rack.

We do have several other Walmarts in town but this one had the best fabric department. It will be missed :(
The other stores have fabric but most of them scaled back some time ago and never could compare with the one that just lost their fabric :'(

Sat on the phone or a few minutes and talked to a nice gal and requested to have our fabric put back in. We had it up until the end of Oct. and then PUFF. She said she would document the call. Everyone please do this and if you don't want it in your area, you can use mine! (zip code 99163 in Pullman, WA)

I just called and spoke to a lovely woman who said they have been getting lots of calls and have put fabric back in "many" stores, but not here in Baton Rouge yet. She said to keep calling, 5, 20 times a day. That we can call multiple times and tell them what we want. So I am going to call whenever I think of it.
