Has anyone used the Quick Points Ruler to make prairie points??? Watched a video, looked soooo easy, pricey but was wondering if it was worth the money???? Any input out there?? :) Thanks

Unless you just want the ruler, you don't really need it. I have I made continuous prairie points without a special ruler. It was very easy.

I guess sewing different blocks of fabric into a strip would work to give you a variety of points.

This was the tute I used, but the measuring directions are WRONG!!
If you look at her example and measure it, her width is 2 times the size and NOT 4 times.
I followed her directions, had cut the fabric, only to find that it was wrong and had wasted fabric. WAS NOT happy about that. I had e-mailed her about it, but never heard back.

So, if you are wanting your prairie points to be 2 inches, cut the width at 4 inches, NOT 8 inches like she says.
If you are UNSURE...do a test piece on some fabric you don't like or some fabric that is useless to you....not sure if useless fabric exists........

you can make it with 2 different fabrics by sewing the long strips together and then follow the same procedure for continuous prairie point.

so the seem would be the "fold" is that what you are saying?>

yes the seam sits in the fold and then you make the typical cuts and fold.
