I am quilting a baby quilt - top is all cotton, batting is Warm and Natural, backing is a light flannel. I am using a walking foot and notice that the imprint of the walking foot is on the backing. I lengthened my stitches and decreased my presser foot, but the imprint is still showing. I called the Bernina shop, and they said to not worry that this is normal and the imprint will wash out. I think it will wash out too, but I am just wondering if anyone else has noticed the imprint when using the walking foot.

I have never noticed it, but I agree it should wash out!

I have never noticed that before, I would have had concerns also. It is good to know that it will wash out, thank you for sharing this with us :D:D:D

It's just compressed nap on the fabric. You'd get the same results if you put a paper clip on it.
