Oh, that gets to me too! I made an Art Quilt for a challenge last year, that's about the size of a full bed. Took 6 months to create. This was never intended to go on a bed, but on my wall. Someone referred to it as my blanket and at first I didn't know what they were talking about. I won first place, by the way in the challenge.Originally Posted by kathy
To me a quilt is anything (whether intended to go on a bed or a wall) that is made from pieces of fabric or one whole piece, layered with batting of some sort or not and a backing layer , which also can be pieced or not. Some sort of stitching or ties thru all layers, holds the batting from shifting.
