The Wall Street Journal reported today that Walmart was bringing back "heritage" items such as fabric bolts and fishing poles as of May. After 7 quarters of decreased sales they decided to make their stores "one stop shops" and to go back the their policy of the "lowest prices". I think we have been heard!

I cannot believe our luck if Walmart does start carrying fabric again. I am between two. They are both about 12 minutes away. Hooray.

Out of the 3 Walmarts here in town, 2 have regular fabric departments. I was told that when one of them- the one closest to me- converts to a Superstore they would eliminate fabric- now maybe not! I did think it was odd that they don't carry buttons in the fabric depts. The girl working there said they had discontinued them. They used to have nice, reasonable plain buttons & some cute speciality ones too.
