I haven't been in Walmart for over a month and had to go buy some fabric for a table cloth for our picnic table. Well when i got there they have all these short bolts with about 2 to 4 yards on them in a big bin. I asked the gals that cut the fabric if they were closing the fabric department. What they are now doing is offering short bolts on cardboard. They are trying something different to see how well it will go. This way you don't have to wait for someone to cut the fabric and the price is right! They still will be caring the regular stock that needs cuting.

Saw this in our Walmart just this morning. The bin had $5 on it. I didn't get to ask about it because I was short on time and the sales lady was helping 2 customers.

Was there a good selection of colors and such? Very intrigued.

the fabric is a mix of different fabric with a nice range of colors. I was there early and they were pulling more bins out and I am going back to the store later this evening. My Walmart is only a quarter mile from Walmart.

It will be next week before I can go and see if our Walmart is doing it. As of last week nothing. :-(
