I am in the process of downsizing our home and need to eliminate some fabric from my stash. I would like to donate it but am searching for places close to home that would accept the donation. I have no extra monies for postage. I live in So California. Anyone have some ideas?

Isn't there a quilting guild near by?

Many churches have craft groups that make items for donation. Perhaps you could call around? Or, google CA quilting guilds & call them about whether they do charitable donation quilts? Good luck!

Do any of your LQS have a Project Linus or other charity quilt drives? They would take it to use for them. I am sure many here would paid shipping for 100% cotton also. What do you have?

Seriously!! A flat rate box would fit a lot of fabric. ;) Instead of waiting on people to mail you a check if you do paypal they can put it in your paypal acct. ?

our senior center takes donations to make charity quilts. you might check with the one near you. or ask the charity who makes quilts for them to find a quilter to take the fabric.

I can't seem to find who it was. Sorry!!!!

There is a coordinator for Quilts for Kids in the Long Beach area as well. If you have some kids fabrics or bright colors they would probably love to have some of it!
