Want to make a fleece bag-help needed

I have a favorite sports team piece of fabric in fleece. I wanted to make some sort of bag for my granddaughter's birthday but unsure of how this type of fabric would hold up. Any suggestions, has anyone made a bag they could share?

Fleece usually wears well but it stretches a lot. If you want to make a bag of it, I'd suggest lining it with a sturdy cotton fabric (pre-shrunk) and fastening the two layers together, at regular intervals.

Make a cotton lining and quilt the 2 fabrics together to add stability and strength to your bag.

I too agree with the previous posts. You could quilt (crosshatch) the two pieces together and then make your bag.
