Just got a netbook, and need a case to carry it in. Naturally a quilted carrier comes to mind... We're going to England, Scotland, and Wales, maybe Ireland too next month, and we will be carrying the netbook with us. Nothing fancy or bulky, just something to cushion it and keep it safe. Has anyone made a case for one of these? I don't think I'll put on a strap - well maybe a small one. Ideas anyone??? I don't have much time, need to get it started.

I made a laptop bag for kids' friends birthday ~ sorry, didn't get pics! I made it with a removable strap, put dog-leash style clips on the ends of the strap for flexibility of "with or without". Used two layers of Warm & Natural for extra padding, and added a divider panel in the middle for a "slot" for school papers / homework (was for a teenager)

Thanks, those are all good ideas.

I did look online for ideas, but I didn't find much. I'm not so much looking for a pattern as for examples of what people think a netbook carrier should have, since I've never had one before.

I received my McCall's Quilting Magazine today and there is a really cute mini messanger bag/netbook bag pattern in it. I am planning to make one soon. If you don't subscribe to the McCalls Quilting magazine, you can probably find a copy at a book store. The pattern is inside, as well as a bunch of other great patterns.

Thanks, I will look for it. I quit subscribing but I'm sure I can find it in the stores.
