Any chance a beautiful color of the permenent pen inks could be incorporated as vines amongst your beautiful work?

Oh, what a gorgeous quilt! Thanks for warning us about the pencil. I'm sure the marks look bad to you, but I couldn't see them on the picture. All that special ribbon embroidery is what catches the eye. What a special, talented friend you are to make such a lovely gift. Bless you.

I also do Ribbon Embroidery so I know all the work and time you put into your beautiful quilt. The graphite does not show up in the pictures so with the vines you mentioned it may not show at all. Be careful not to was too much because of the ribbon embroidery it is so delicate & ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!

I would just finish it and call it done. The few marks that remain are probably only visable to you, because you know where they are.
It's a beautiful piece...just as it is!

I think what happened is that I didn't move quick enough with my FMQ and the stitches got squished and caught the graphite tightly inside them. First effort, oh well. So, I will quilt some decorative vine patterns to cover the remaining marks. I should have hand quilted it!!!

That quilt is absolutely gorgeous!! Beautiful work!! I am too busy admiring the stitching to pay attention to the marks.

I agree that your embroidery is just beautiful. I have found that sometimes just dampening the fabric and let it dry in the sun for a few hours can really help fade stains. I don't think this short amount of time would affect the embroidery. It's worth a try.

I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I would simply give the person the gift, they probably won't even notice a thing. You did such a fantastic job, makes me wonder how anyone would notice!
