I just finished a quilt that I stippled. I want to wash it to get that crinkly feeling. I have never done this before. What is the best setting to use.

I wash mine on gentle cycle and then i line dry them. They get that puffy, wrinkly look you are after.

I wash mine on the gentle cycle and dry them on the perma press cycle. It works great.

I wash mine on the gentle cycle too--but I throw them in the dryer on low.

I also wash on "Casual" setting and throw into the dryer on a low temp.

I just throw it in the washer on a warm wash/cold rinse and then into the dryer on regular setting. I figure that the folks that get the quilts I make for them won't be doing anything special for washing so I want to make sure they hold up to regular washing.

Did you square it yet for binding? I wash mine before I bind it, block it on the floor and air dry and then bind it.

I always bind mine first. I don't want the uncovered edges to fray.
