what a score - tell her to go to the fabric store and price what you just spent $50 on and see who has the shocked look on her face. you go girl

Sounds like you both have a good sense of humour about it - keep it up, $50 would by about a quarter of a quilt top in my town!

What a great deal. I never think to look for fabric at the thrift stores but my daughter is the same. She says I'm in danger of becoming a hoarder! Imagine that. I know I have a large stash but really!!

Sounds normal to me. No intervention necessary.

I was lucky enough to find several bolts of cotton fabric at a local Thrift store. I don't know who gave it but I grabbed it fast. Imagine getting up to 20 yrds. of fabric for less than $5. I make sure to check there everytime I am in the area.

Nice! It's nice when you come across something like that. I've only been to a couple thrift stores, but didn't find any fabric.

Now, you all know if we were all with her at that time that there would be a fight! We all would have wanted that fabric! However, I agree. No intervention is needed. Well, maybe for the daughter. She needs to understand the allure of quilting. Yes, definitely, if there is an intervention to make people quilt, we should change the world one non-quilter at a time. Of course if we get too many quilters out there, we would have a harder time finding fabric at thrift stores! Enjoy your find Kathyjg.
