Regular glue sticks as used for school projects, etc?

Most of the time I don't pin either. Of course I mostly do hand quilting. I want to get back into doing more machine sewing. I will be able to get more done faster. People love my quilting.

Anal retentive here. I am in the minority: quilters who pin. I use pins every few inches and SEW OVER THE PINS. Told you I was in the minority.

If Moses were around today, there would be an 11th Commandment: Thou shalt pin frequently.

I am not sure about growing out of the need or desire to over-pin' on seams. When I started sewing 47 years ago I think I pinned ever half inch, and I am still doing it this way. I don't think I will change at this late date. Besides if you are comfortable with this process there is no need to change. Jeanniebelle

Yes, I used to pin everything, But now only when there are certain seams that need matched. Otherwise I hardly pin anymore.

I pin a lot of the time in hopes of avoiding the need to use the seam ripper later.
