Has anyone done a wedding dress quilt?

Or know of any patterns...or anything?

I might go to a thrift store and pick up a cheap wedding dress to do a test run (plus there will be no memories/attachments if I mess up!!)

I saw a really cool one where they appliqued the front of the dress to the quilt top, so the dress front only remained in one piece and they used the back for blocks in a border. Was great!

I have made crazy quilts and ring pillows from thrift store gowns.

I didn't do a quilt, but I made my wedding dress, and so I had leftover pieces. So when I started quilting, I would include a piece in a corner of each quilt I made for a while. Eventually I gave up that plan, and, after several moves, I lost the fabric (and the dress).

I am procrastinating on one....I found 108" wide heavy cream muslin and am going to attach the train of a wedding dress down the middle. Then I am going to use parts of the dress to applique flowers and vines/leaves on the rest of the quilt....

I'm a bit scared, but that's the plan LOL!
