My niece is getting married next year and I'm starting to think about her wedding quilt. I'm not especially fond of the wedding ring pattern which automatically comes to mind. Anyone have any pattern suggestions for an outstanding wedding quilt?

Any quilt in her fav. colors would be fine. Maybe not make it too feminine looking so they will actually use it.

Do they have one that represents like "home" or something. Like I know the log cabin center means warm hearth, etc. Are there blocks that mean like "home", "health", etc. and you could put them together with signature blocks or something. Remember...I am brand new so I have no clue...LOL! :D

Eleanor Burns has a book about a Lover's Knot Quilt...That might be appropriate. I think almost any quilt would be loved and appreciated.

I am in the process of doing one for my daughter and ended up with Lover's Knot by Eleanor Burns - did have to buy the book but it was lovely to piece and (I think) looks lovely - am now on the last leg of hand quilting the border!!!

If your up for a challenge the Rose of Sharon. (Applique)It is traditionally given when amish gals marry. Well they make them for themselves. And they only use it on special occasions like the wedding night.
