I'm sure that's not what they are called, but that's how I remember them.

I want to start work on a wedding ring quilt for my friend. I plan on giving it to her on her and her dh's first wedding anniversary (August 13). I would have made it for their wedding, but they informed me about a month and a half prior to the date. They planned it that way... it was just one of those, hey, lets get married.

My friend has been begging me to make her a quilt and I figured I could one of these, if there is a simple enough pattern out there. I would be doing the fabric in the colors of the wedding, black, red and white. I also hope to find damascus print fabric.

Please help me find a pattern! And offer some guidance!!!

This may help you see what it looks like!
Download the wedding qiults E-book and scroll down to the Modern Wedding Ring. It uses snowball blocks and strip piecing around a center square. EASY!

Do you mean a double wedding ring? Like these:

This is not the easiest pattern, tons of small pieces and curved piecing, but if you take your time, you should be able to do it. There are lots of patterns when you google it, also paper piecing.

Hopefully someone can recommend a pattern they've used.

Oh My. I do admire you for doing the double wedding ring. If you are doing the traditional then I would suggest you invest in a set of templates or better yet try to find someone who has one of the fabric cutters who will cut the pieces for you. Many get discouraged before all the pieces are cut.
Now, if you want to do something other than the traditional version, then thats another search.

Quiltsmart and Eleanor Burns makes a simple one- you make the rings and applique them to the background fabric

John Flynn sells laser cut kits and will also laser cut YOUR fabric. You can call them and make arrangements to get your fabric to them. Its actually quite reasonable considering the amount of stress that is reduced.

Would you please provide a little more instruction? I've joined the McCall's site, but I can't seem to access the Wedding Quilts e-book. I'm eager to see this pattern!

Thanks!
