Has anyone purchased this DVD on machine quilting?
I,m trying to learn and have purchased things which I found hard to understand (books).
I thought DVD's would be easier because I,m better at understanding, watching someone than reading.
Anyway it is $79.00 and I have to wonder if it is worth it
to purchase.Thanks in advance.

Try Leah Day's website. There is a lot of information there:
http://freemotionquilting.blogspot.c...tart-here.html

Also try
http://www.patsythompsondesigns.com/...ry/cd-s-dvd-s/

They both have quite a lot of free information.

I think Penny Halgren's programs are good but way over priced. There are many free videos on you tube that covers everything you need to know about machine quilting. The best award winning quilters have you tube videos.

Yes, after buying her book on beginner quilting, I agree.
I,m sorry I ever bought it.
That is why I was asking about the video.

That seems kind of steep for a DVD. I would prefer to spend a lot less and watch the videos on TheQuiltingSchool.com - Linda V Taylor's site. I could watch Irena Bluhm all day.

Almost all of the longarm stuff is translatable to FMQ with a domestic machine. Watching Irena Bluhm doing feathers was one of the things that made the "light bulb" go on for me - it was like magic. :)
