I cut out and pieced a Yellow Brick Road. Had it laid out on my bedroom floor to pin and sew, but unexpected guest arrived and I had to pick everything up in stack.
That was about 2 weeks ago. Now that I go back to the stack to do the layout again.. I'm missing 2 blocks...I don't have any leftover fabric. Would it matter if I left off the bottom row of blocks and just add the borders?
I'm still basically a newbie, I have very little time to sew/quilt, so I hope this question makes sense.
    Thank you for any suggestions?

BTW..I looked high and low for those blocks..nowhere to be found.

It will be smaller , but sure it will work

Sounds like my socks in the washer/dryer always seem to lose one and never can find it again  LOL

I certainly think you could leave off the bottom row. It would just make the quilt shorter. You could add extra borders to make up for the length, if you wanted to do that. Try piecing your top together without the bottom row, and see how it looks. If you are determined that you want the last row on there, you might just have to buy a bit more fabric, or see if anyone here has some they would be willing to send you.
Let us know what you decide! I really like the Yellow Brick Road pattern! :D
    Good luck!

I agree..that's what I would do as well....just leave off a row and finish it smaller...but, you should perhaps post pictures - some of us may have some of the same fabric in out stash...you could certinaly give that a try...

You do usually end up with a few extra blocks when making the YBR so maybe you haven't lost some, just have a few extras? Just a thought.

The lost blocks will surface AFTER you finish the quilt! Anything I lose, does
