I've never had this happen before...I was sewing my binding to the front of my quilt tonight and right where I went to join the ends landed RIGHT on a seam where I joined my binding strips to begin with! At first, I kind of panicked because I didn't want to tear out my binding or cut and re-attach it so the seam was somewhere else, but I just went with it, and joined over the seam. I think I got lucky, because it lays perfectly flat and came out nicely, but boy was I worried for a minute there!

I am so glad it worked out for you..It's one of the fun things we have to deal with when quilting...Sometimes when I am sewing, I talk to myself, especially if my machine acts up! At least I think I'm talking, must be yelling, cause my husband in the other room ask me "what did you say" I yell back NOTHING!!!

Got to love it when a plan goes together! I think you need to buy a lotto ticket!

You know -- if you'd have WANTED that, it wouldn't have happened....lucky for you it worked! I've had seams end up on the corners...some I've left.

I love when something like that happens and the seam ripper gets to rest!

That usually happens to me at the corners where a miter is needed. So very frustrating!!!!
