Default I'm looking for the red star quilt where the blocks form a large star (ohio??)

I'm looking for that really nice red quilt that the blocks are I believe ohio stars and the shading of the blocks makes a large ohio star as the overall pattern (the darker blocks from the star and the ligher star blocks forms the background)? It looks like the Nottingham Star here (http://www.thequiltmerchant.com/shop...0190005582.htm

but I believe the blocks were ohio stars instead and she used all shades of red only and her background blocks were stars as well. It was posted on this website and I've seen it within the past 3 to 6 months. Can anyone find this? I'm really inpired by this quilt and hope to do one in blue or maybe pinks. Thanks.

I wonder if the person took it off the internet. I have done multiple searches and can't find it anywhere. I usually copy and save images of quilts I really like but I can't find it on my own computer either. Bummer.

Hey A,

One rule:

All the star points and centers in all the blocks are medium tones.
All the back grounds are either dark or light.

I fell short of this rule a little but not enough to matter. That is what I like about quilting!
peace

Oh this is wonderful!! 8 pointed stars are my favorite blocks, this gives one a double dose!

Thank you for the tips on color use and placement. That can make a big difference. Did you use light pinks as your light or is it cream or white? I'd love to see a few closeups if you have any. I'm thinking of maybe using purple batik because I have quite a few of those but some have a reddish tint (plum) and some are more purple-blue (violet) and I don't know if they would look good together?? It is hard to find enough batiks to cover the light and medium spectrum (dark is never a problem it seems).
