What is that material that one uses that is silver used in making potholders and such....you know like what you find on ironing board covers.

For the life of me I can't remember what it is called.

well there is a silver quilted one, JoAnn's should have it.
then out came insul-bright which is white on both sides with a bit of silver stuff in the center. they both work.

I have bought that silver cloth but don't know what it is called. I don't think it's insubrite as that's a special type of batting for hot stuff.

i bought 3yds insulbrite at hobby lobby for $2.47/yard that i use for the potholders i make. next time i will use a coupon to get more at a great price.

hancock fabrics sells insul-fleece(?) at about $9.95/yard.

The solid silver fabric that deflects heat is called Heat Resistant fabric. Therma-Flec is the most common brand. I like the solid much better then Insulbrite.
