Just wondering if anyone else has purchased the new Singer sewing machine and what do you think of it.

In my opinion, none of the Singers are what they used to be.

I have heard so many bad things about the new singers, I would look at something else.

I got this machine a few years ago and it's fine. I am not a heavy-duty user but it's always worked for what I need it to do and I've never had a bit of problems with it

I purchased the Quantum L-500 in January of 2010 when it was a brand-new model, and have had nothing but PROBLEMS with it since day one. I have owned mostly Singers my entire sewing life, but unfortunately, I would not buy another Singer again.

it depends on the machine. I have a friend that has the confidence quilter, so does her daughter. They love them. They are both used for quilting as well as general sewing. Neither has had a problem with them.

I couldn't afford much for a sewing machine as my old sewing machine went to sewing heaven and my hubby talked me into this one just to get by as he new that I wanted to get back to quilting. It is a okay sewing machine and he promised me that I can get what ever I want for xmas and not to worry about the price tag. I do not like the singers anymore.

The last Singer I had (new ones) was nothing but problems....they dont make them now like they used to, and I had a hard time finding a repair man who knew what to do. I think something bad has happened to that company.
