Look at the colors on the mat and decide which are most clear to you. My first mat was (Fiskars?)gray with orange stripes - which I couldn't see at all! Now I use the green with yellow stripes (Olfa).

I have a Ginghers that I love. A lot depends on the colors and which combo works well for you.

I like my Olfa best but had a Salem mat cut specifically to the size of my table which is really nice.
