What to do with finished quilt tops until you're ready to quilt them?

I was wondering how everyone stores them?

Fold them and put them in a wicker laundry basket.

I hang mine folded on a coat hanger

I like the hanger trick. I guess it's probably best to use a plastic hanger though.

If I can fit it in the closet, I hang it. If not, it goes under the bed in a storage bag. I would like to purchase some comforter hangers. They are heavy duty and open on the side, so they'd be easy to put the quilt on, especially if I've already sandwiched it.

Several of mine are sitting in plastic boxes along with the other fabric. I need some backing. Tops done. Lots of batting. Have to wait for tax money, and so they sit in boxes, or the cedar chest.

Some are hanging over the banister (with a towel to keep kitty paws off) and others are folded away in the cabinet.

I have purchased one of the wood folding drying racks for clothes. I fold them gently and hang them on the rack, that way they do not get wrinkled. If it is going to be a while before they get quilted, I will fold a towel into them so there are no hard folds which can wrinkle.
