My block exchange for this month likes birds. One type. What type of block do I make? Should it have a bird apliqued on it? Should I cut up the bird and use him as half squares? I just don't know. This will be my third block exchange, but I don't want to just do a really simple block. HELP My other exchange I know what to do, but this bird has me stumped.

I think there was a Bird block by Pam Bono in a recent issue of The Quilter magazine. I check and let you know.

That hummingbird was really cool from this site http://www.bellaonline.com/subjects/3961.asp. I wouldn't try it I'm not that experienced yet. But someday when I grow up...hope it doesn't take too long.

Oh go ahead and try it!!! Just do a "dry run" one, a practice piece, and you'll see you can do it. Just take your time, and follow the directions.

I would applequie it on, sorry for the spelling. then you could do a little thread work on it, or put a little extra batting behind the bird to make it 3d. Penny
