I have the Brother 270D & want to upgrade.
But do I keep this machine, buy reader (which isn't cheap) to download?? I have a Mac so that's a problem too because would have to buy software to download on it.
My son has a PC that I could use OR do I buy another Brother that has the USB & card slot??? Decisions, decisions!!!!
I'd really like a 5x7 area (this 270D & a lot (U have to watch the models) have only 4x4".
I really don't want the Disney anymore since my GK are bigger.

Thanks for any info or advice?......

This is just a thought, sort of thinking out loud I guess, do you ever check out your freecycle in your area. I've seen people offering desktops and laptops on them. If you were going to use just for downloading purposes, then maybe you could find a used laptop with Windows on it. Last week around here there were 2 or 3 posted. Just an option before, making a decision.

Suggestion: If you make quilts for chairity try some of your local companies. Most companies donate used desktops and laptops to charities, so maybe you could contact them and get your hands on one.
