Cut them into 2.5" squares to make 9-patch blocks. I make 9-patches from the scraps of all my quilts (no two the same), and someday will put all those together into one great truly scrappy quilt. The triangles are saved to make maverick stars. If you use them as leaders and enders, it takes no time to have a stack of blocks made as you're working on your current quilt.

i put it in box and thinking one day i will put all the colors together and make a wild binding on a wild quilt!!!

I cut it into 2" sections and place into a bowl next to my machine. I use one section each time I start stitching, to catch any bobbin nesting (before my good fabric gets under the foot).
