Default what do you think?

will these be ok for the falling charms quilt? floral print being the 5x5, and the pin dots the strips in my head I am thinking the floral will be to busy? thanks

Are you using the pin dot for the main background colour? Are you going to fussy cut the flowers so they are the 5 inch falling charms? If you are fussy cutting the flowers, as long as they have a good border of the turquoise I think it will work.
It will still work if just the flowers are cut but there will not be much contrast between the purple background and the mainly purple flowers. You could just cut the 5 inch squares from the floral disregarding the pattern, if seeing just parts of flowers won't bug you.

I think it would look very nice. But I have to agree with Tartan, I would definitely fussy cut the flowers to get a good balance. Post a picture when you are finished - I would love to see it

I would cut the flowers into squares and use the dot fabric as you plan. Cutting squares including the flowers will be less work. It will be beautiful.

I would use any pattern that contained a large square of fabric in the block. Love the print !!!
