I don't understand all the acronyms. Could you all explain what they mean? I think DH is dear husband but that's one of the only ones I know. I know LAQ is long arm quilting also, but that's it. I would like to keep up with you all. Thanks (in advance) for any help.

OK
DH dear husband
DD darling daughter
DS darling son
DSIL dear sisterinlaw
DMIL dear motherinlaw
DFIL dear fatherinlaw
ROTFL rolling on the floor laughing
LOL laughing out loud
DGD dear granddaughter
DGS dear grandson
OMG oh my goodness
That is the sum of my knowledge. I usually end up deciphering it out while I read the post.
Maybe someone else knows more.
Sorry

just do a search for acronyms---or even abbreviations---there is a whole list here on the board---there are so many- if there are a few specific ones you are wondering about ask about them---to repeat the whole list is a bit much---especially since there is already a list--
but here are a few more---lqs is local quilt shop, dil is daughter in law- you are right about hubby- of course there is ds (for son, dd for daughter, dgd for granddaughter---get the idea?)
lets see...fmq---free motion quilting, imho (in my honest opinion)
i'm drawing a blank---ask about specific ones or check the list after awhile you get the hang of figuring them out...

i read things fast and figure if i got it wrong, then the person typing should have spelled it out. not a big deal in life, so i don't worry too much about abbreviations. usually you sort of know what they are trying to say.
I still haven't figured out in the t.v. commercial what people mean when they say they are a PC. what? they are a personal computer? oh well.

I think PC means Politically Correct. I have a hard time with all the abbreviations too. I don't use them, it is just easier to write what I want to say rather than put all the other stuff in. The one I really tire of is LOL. I guess it is the happy face of the 70's.
