Help - I bought some prewound bobbins on an internet site. They are 7/16th of an inch tall and only around 1/2 inch wide (maybe even a little smaller) They are way to small for class 15 that I need for my machine same height but not as large across.
Outside the plastic bag it says Spun polyester , Mill Devices Co. , Gastonia, NC.

Any ideas what these little bobbins are used for? :?:
They come 12 in a tube and 12 tubes in a pack. All white.

Are they for an embroidery machine?

If you can't find out what they are for, then use them for a "top" thread. I doubt they are for an embroidery machine because that requires an awful lot of thread.

I use pre-wound bobbins for my FW all the time. They are standard size bbobbins though. I love the super fine ones. They last solo long.

Wow, where do you find pre-wound bobbins for your FW?

I would love to find these pre-wound for my 301. (It takes the same bobbin as a FW)

Thanks! :)

they are used for embroidery and frame quilters.

prewound bobbins have more thread on them then we can do at home on our sewing machines.

the hope is, with the prewound you can complete the entire project without having the bobbin run out of thread.

I measured they are 1/2 " diameter and 7/16" tall.

Any idea what size bobbin this is? I know it is not the L or the Class 15A.

I'm hoping someone can help.

I've never seen bobbins that small - maybe they are for a toy machine? Or one of those hand-held sewing machines?

Can you take the "board" off of the bobbin and add it to your machine? I only use prewound bobbins and I have to remove the outer board in order to fit my Bernina. On my Viking they are perfect. They last so long!
