Serendipity....the song Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be.... comes to mind every time I hear that word!!

Your grandson is soooo adorable!! What a perfect pic you captured too! Congrats on the upcoming arrival!! Grandkids are sooo much fun!

Yes, he sure is lovable, adorable, cute and I am so thankful to God that I can enjoy the pleasure of being a grandmom today. You see, I had cancer 2 years ago but I am a survivor: today, every minute that I breathe is a gift and I see life differently now.

I guess "serendipity" is an accident that happened to me but it turned out to be OK!!!

How wonderful for you Louise, that you are living each day to the fullest. Your grandson is adorable and I can see your love for him in your avatar. Congrats on your impending baby too. More grandmotherly love to spread around. :D

Hi Chele, what is the pattern called in the photo by your name? It looks like an interesting design created with rectangles and half square triangles, was it fairly easy for an intermediate quilter to try?

Serendipity: a happy accident. In quilting, I have seen kaliedoscope quilts called serendipity quilts because you never know what you're going to get! That's where you stack your fabric 6-8 high, aligning the print, then cut a wedge (Marti Michell's Kaleido ruler is the best) and sew all eight fabrics together from that stack. Our guild made these during our latest retreat. Check out our guild blog for some great pictures!
