It says for slipcovers, pillows, skirts and jackets. I don't think I would wear a canvas skirt. Duck cloth is usually for feather mattresses and regular mattresses. I personally think it would be rather stiff for a quilt.

Duck cloth is also used by artists, when it is stretched on a frame and covered with a couple layers of gesso it becomes a canvas to paint on with oils or acrylics. :) I have used it for floor coverings - painted or stained - cheap and creative area rugs. :)

I would not use duck cloth for a quilt, it's too heavy and just not the right fabric. The seam lines would be thick to quilt through and the overall quilt would end up being very heavy. Hope that helps.

Duck cloth = heavy duty cotton canvas

it has many uses:

tote bags....especially the boaters style
cutting mat tote
patio furniture cushions
rugs
rv/trailer wheel covers
boat cushions
seasonal outdooor shades
seasonal deck roofs
green shopping bags
fire log carrier
hammock

This fabric is more for outdoor or heavy duty type uses.

It says it's lightweight so it will be lighter then regular canvas and slightly heavier than broadcloth. It would make a great binding for a heavy use quilt.
