I can't believe that that needle didn't break, either. I don't know how many times I have been thankful that I wear glasses because a needle broke and a piece came flying and hit my glasses.

Wow! I am glad that it was the pin and not your finger!

Holy COW! That's quite amazing! Yes, you really SHOULD contact the company. I'm sure they'd love to hear some positive feedback.

I had a needle break into 3 pieces once. One piece hit me in the face. There were no injuries, but it was scary. The dumb thing about it was that the machine caused it. Under where the thread sits on top, there is this little, clear "wheel". The edges are loose, and the thread got under there and got stuck, and it broke the needle. I kept it for years. I don't know why, but I think to remind me how dangerous things can really be. I think I finally threw it away. I try to remember to put a piece of paper or something under the thread spool on that machine, but it doesn't work anymore, anyway.

I'm glad you weren't hurt.

Better safety pin than your finger. I got a scar from early this year. Sew right thru finger tip right beside nail tip. I still shudder at thought. It would have better if I hadn't jerked but I did and it ripped it thru. I'm more careful now.

WOW  I'm speechless! I'm glad it wasn't your finger. I have first hand experience with that, but not in about 20 years or so. It's one of those things you only need to do once, LOL
